Happy Weekend Y’all!
18 years ago today I said “I do.” I can’t believe how fast the years have gone by and if you had told me on that hot November day in Los Angeles that I’d be living in Franklin, Tennessee, I would have thought you had lost your mind!
Well…it just goes to show you that we don’t really know and we have pretty much zero control of the future.
You learn a lot about your marriage and relationships when you up and leave. You find out just exactly what and who you are.
A few years ago, but one of my favorites.
Franklin saved my soul and I’m blessed to live in this precious small town with a huge heart.
There’s something in the air…different from fall. The days are shorter…the nights longer…firewood is being sold on the side of the road…fires warm our homes and you can feel that the holidays are just around the corner.
Last week I shared some of my favorite holiday events. If you missed it…here you go.
You still have time to head over to Made South Holiday Market and do some Christmas shopping…80 Southern makers and artisans. You’ll find unique gifts all under one roof. I did some major shopping yesterday and it felt so good to buy from Southern makers. Seriously…great vendors.
Today is the last day…so get in your car and GO!
The Holiday Market is open TODAY from 9am – 6pm and is happening at The Factory in Franklin inside Liberty Hall.
This year, my husband and I are definitely going to A Country Christmas at the Opryland Hotel. I’m embarrassed to admit that I have not been, but I’m going and I don’t care how crowded it is.
It’s a tradition and I’m told that it’s worth it! I think before Christmas is a good time to head out. From sledding to ice sculptures to Santa Claus and even the Grinch…not to mention the millions of twinkling lights…Opryland has it all going on.!
If you’re anything like me and LOVE Christmas lights, then Holiday Lights at Cheekwood is perfect for you and your family. Beginning Friday, November 27 (not this weekend) through January 3, 2016, Cheekwood is aglow. Bundle up and head out to Cheekwood where you’ll not only find 750,000 lights but also live reindeer, S’mores Pits, Holiday Carolers and all things beautiful.
This is definitely being added to our holiday agenda.
I know many of you have friends and family members flying in for Thanksgiving next week. May your home be filled with what matters most and that is human connection, sharing and LOVE.
Have a good weekend!
Come join me over here!
