Labor Day weekend is upon us and I’m once again reminded that time is flying by way too quickly. Fall is upon us even though the temperatures outside aren’t quite there yet…but yesterday I saw the first signs of changing leaves in tree right near my house. In Franklin we kick back a bit in anticipation of all the festivals and activities that will soon be upon us. I love Franklin, TN and here are some ideas about what to do in Franklin.
It’s a great weekend for exploring all that Franklin offers and one of my favorite ways to do that is to take a drive with no particular destination in mind. When we see something that intrigues us, we stop and check it out. I’ve found more off the beaten path places this way.
Will you be grilling? I’m not sure if I will or won’t, because I’m thinking that digging into some really great BBQ at Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint might be just the thing.
Okay. Martin’s is in Nolensville, but it’s just a little drive from Franklin.
Or perhaps a stroll with my favorite place – Leiper’s Fork where music, art, shopping and country are the perfect blend of all that is delightful about Franklin.
Depending upon the weather, cruising down the river in a kayak sounds pretty appealing also.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Music in the Vines at Arrington Vineyards. This weekend they have extended hours. Details are here.
Franklin is never short on inspiration and truthfully you’re never without something to do. Whatever you’re feeling…you can find it here in magical Franklin, Tennessee.
