Hey it’s Cindy! Four years has flown by, and that’s just about how long it’s been since I did any writing here; and in spite of how my life has been super busy with Franklin Flannels, I’ve really missed the blog. You can’t exactly blog about flannel shirts and Discovering Franklin was this perfect outlet for me and hopefully – you. Do I have time to write every day? No. Do I have time for 3 times a week? Probably not, but I can try for once or twice and I hope you’ll come along with me.
Turns out there was a lot to do to get this baby back up and going. The website moved to a new platform and A LOT of my original information was lost, especially all the photos. I tried to go back and fix the the original posts, but I realized that it would be better if I moved forward without trying for perfection. (This was a HUGE decision for me, because I struggle with this crazy idea of perfection.) So you’ll notice on old blog posts that most of them say they aren’t written by me, but in truth – they are. It was just too much to try and change all of that. I had to delete a little over 100 posts because they were actually obsolete. I forgot to mention that the computer I began Discovering Franklin on, crashed and I lost a lot of data.
I’ve also personally changed in six and a half years – A LOT. And Franklin has changed a lot. I think we’re both experiencing massive growth, and with growth, comes a little pain. I promise to be as authentic and real with you in this next phase of Discovering Franklin.
One of my favorite pictures that I didn't lose.
A blog needs a point of view and now that I’ve lived here awhile, I clearly have favorite places and people and things and I want to share all of that with you. So you’ll see Franklin through my eyes and you’ll get an insider glimpse into moving and settling and making a new life. It can be done.
If you’re new to Franklin, I’m going to recommend that you definitely follow Visit Franklin. They have all the information you need on events, what’s happening, where to stay – literally everything and they’re rockin’ it. So hang with them for all things Franklin. But if you want to dig deeper, then let’s be friends.
I want to hear from you. What do you want to know? What questions do you have? How can I be of help? If you write me, I promise to get back to you. I’m glad you’re here. Leave a comment and let me know where you live and anything else that's on your mind. Follow along on Facebook or Instagram
