It’s not news that I’m an over-the-top lover of animals…all animals, really. Years ago I sort of got over my fear of snakes. Can’t say I don’t freak out a little bit if I see one in my garden, but I do find them fascinating.
Horses, cows, pigs, chickens… want them all on a sweet little farm in Leiper’s Fork. It’s a dream of mine, but I’m very partial to my domesticated pets, especially our dog, Sassy.
Sassy is a rescue and she’s 11 years old; acts like a puppy and she’s spoiled rotten. We don’t care because she’s our family and she brings more joy into our lives than some people.
I’m always on the lookout for new places for my special furry friend and today I discovered Woof Gang Bakery, a new pet boutique in Westhaven. This is not your big box pet store.
The moment you step inside the door, you’re in for a treat beginning with the soothing pink and chocolate decor and chandeliers – in a pet store!
I’m all about first impressions, and this lovely pet boutique gets a 10 on my First Impression scale.
Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming is located in Westhaven and owner Mike Burbridge is not only thrilled to be in Franklin, but he’s the ultimate “host” when you step inside.
Mike searched for the “perfect” place to open Woof Gang and he kept coming back to Franklin. He told me he loved the feeling of our sweet town and he wanted foot traffic so Westhaven felt like a great fit. And based upon what I witnessed, he’s right.
This is quality, high-end pet retail and includes beautifully decorated, human quality pet bakery items, the highest quality pet foods (for both dogs and cats), unique toys, collars and leashes and down winter coats, and natural supplements.
Woof Gang works very closely with Animalia, and you know how I feel about them.
They offer full-service grooming or partial grooming and there’s even a self-serve dog wash complete with luxury shampoos and towels. I don’t know about you, but I’ve tried washing Sassy in the sink and it’s quite the experience! From now on, I’m taking her to Woof Gang when I want to bathe her.
Grooming is a “thing” at our house because Sassy is rather dramatic and a bit of a baby, so I was really happy to see how they have a cage free grooming environment.
Your dog is never left alone and I have to say, I’ve never witnessed such a quiet, peaceful environment. You should know that grooming is by appointment because they take their time with your pet. Woof Gang also does cats! I’m not sure how Emmie would do, but we just might give it a whirl this spring.
Evie was fascinated with the camera.
Human are referred to as “Pet Parents” and Mike sees the boutique as a gathering place for parents and their canine children. And in keeping with this concept, Woof Gang is offering complimentary coffee and sparkling water at “Hair of the Dog Bar”. They have a delightful front porch and you’re welcome to bring your dog, sit a-spell and take in the view of the Westhaven lake.
One more thing you should know, because for me, this matters. Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming gives back. They are philanthropic and they support organizations like Williamson County Animal Center and Eva’s Eden, a cage free cat rescue.
Whether you live in Westhaven or not, check out Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming if you want the highest quality of everything for your dog or cat.
They’re located at 1001 Westhaven Blvd. Suite 150, Franklin 37064
As I was leaving Westhaven I had to stop to let a gaggle of geese cross the road. I love Franklin!
