I'm a free thinking woman and my brain goes all over the place, but I think you should know a little bit about me. So...in no particular order, here we go:
My name is Cindy Laverty. I began Discovering Franklin 6 ½ years ago when I was getting ready to leave my lifelong home in Los Angeles and move across the country to Franklin. I’m also the co-owner of Franklin Flannels – we give vintage flannel shirts a second chance by artistically reverse dying them one shirt at a time.
Franklin Flannels is what has kept me away from Discovering Franklin. It’s complicated but trust me…when you know nothing about running a fashion business that has grown like crazy in 4 years, it takes a lot of your time. This year, I’m seeking balance.
I moved away from my lifelong home to a place that I virtually knew nothing about. I’ve learned a lot these past 6 + years. Apparently a lot of folks want to move here. I have thoughts about this, which I’ll share with you.
I’ve been married to my husband Dominic for 22 years. He’s the artist behind Franklin Flannels.
I am mother to Kaitlyn (who lives in Los Angeles and I miss her like crazy) and also mom to my new fur baby Bailey – a six-month old Cavapoo. If you see us in Franklin, be sure to say hello.
I love Paris – all things Paris.
I’m a bit obsessed with skin care products, so if you know of any amazing new products, please let me know.
I’m allergic to scallops, just like my father and my grandmother. Weird.
I love meeting new people. I’m blessed to share life with great friends.
I once was a radio talk show host, which tells you that I like to communicate.
I’m still exploring Franklin and Nashville and I have to take more road trips. Let me know if you have a favorite trip you think we should take.
There’s more, but I don’t want to bore you. Thanks for following.
