You’re supposed to be reading this post on Saturday morning with your coffee, but I didn’t do it because this was one super busy week and well, I just didn’t do it. So I’m rolling it all together and admittedly I’m a little late, but you know what they say!
This weekend is the 25th Anniversary of the Antiques and Garden Show at Music City Center in Nashville and it’s one of the most touted shows of its kind in the United States. I was invited to a special preview and panel discussion from some of the top design influencers in the United States (a separate post is coming about that.) and I can honestly say that this show is really well done and you should definitely go! It runs through Sunday, February 1.
Of course I know it’s Super Bowl Sunday, but not everyone watches the Super Bowl and it doesn’t even start until 6:30 pm Eastern Time, so you basically have the whole day! If you’re searching for even the tiniest bit of inspiration for your home – you’re definitely going to find it at the Show. Seriously…you really do want to go.
Here’s another thing I recommend you do right now. Are you familiar with Style Blueprint? If not…this is one site you’re going to love. Founded by two dynamic women, Elizabeth Fox and Liza Graves, this business was built on the simple premise of connecting busy women to their community. And that’s what they’ve done each and every day for several years. If you want to know where to go…what to wear and where to find it…what to read…who’s fascinating and all things about Nashville, Williamson County, Memphis, Atlanta, Birmingham and Louisville – then head over to Style Blueprint and sign up for daily happenings.
And now it gets even better. At the Preview Party of the Antiques and Garden Show, Style Blueprint launched their new app for the iPhone. Oh joy! Now you can get it all on your phone. (Sorry…this app is not for Droid users.) The SB App includes Happenings around town as well as information for local businesses – you can even save your favorite spots!
Right now you can sse your SB App when you are traveling around the South. Right now, it includes city guides for Nashville, Birmingham and Memphis and more will be coming in the months ahead. The SB App allows you to look for places close to you or plan a night out by neighborhood. Pretty cool, don’t you think?
Plus…when you download the app, you’re entered to win an iPad mini 3! Why wouldn’t you do this?
I had a birthday this week and my husband and I ate at Kayne Prime for the first time…if you love outstanding service…inspiring decor…ridiculously delicious food…then make a reservation at Kayne Prime. (And by all means…order the steak!)
I took Sassy to Animalia Wellness for her annual check-up and guess what? She’s gotten fluffy. At first I thought it was because she’s gotten too many treats, but nope…Sassy has a thyroid problem…as in she doesn’t have any metabolism. So now Sassy is going on thyroid medicine. I love Animalia and if you’re searching for a great Vet…I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place.
If you aren’t sure what to serve for dinner or the Super Bowl…I’m certain that Carnivore Market can take care of all of your needs.
I want to thank those of you have taken the time to leave a comment on the blog or send me an email. You can’t ever know how much it means to me to hear from you. So I’m sending you a big hug and a huge THANK YOU!
Here’s some exciting news! I was out yesterday for my afternoon walk and guess what? Spring is coming because I would say that about half of the trees in my neighborhood have sprouted buds in the last few days! I know it’s not coming for a while, but it’s coming and that’s enough for me.
And finally…you might be wondering why I haven’t been as active here recently. Well…I’m super excited to tell you that I’m launching a completely new and wonderful website for Lionhearted Woman. I’m having so much fun putting this together because I really feel for the first time in a very long time that in addition to Discovering Franklin…coaching Lionhearted Women is what I was put here on Earth to do. I’ll let you know when the site is live, but for now you can learn more by going here.
Whew! It’s a lot. But something feels so good about 2015 and all that is possible. I hope your year is off to a great start. I can’t believe it’s already February, can you?
