In less than one month City Farmhouse Pop0up Fair is happening right here at The Factory in Franklin, and if you’ve never attended one of these events, you absolutely must go. Mark your calendar for June 17-18. At the end of this post, I’ve got a pair of VIP tickets to give away.
I remember my very first Pop-up Fair and it was also a first for Kim and David Leggett of City Farmhouse fame. I literally wandered around in awe because I had never experienced anything like a pop-up in Los Angeles. What a blast!
Top vendors from all over the United States make their way to Franklin for what has now become one of the top Pop-ups in the United States. People literally travel from all over the world to come. The creative energy is off the charts and you’ll find unique treasures around every corner. I’m not kidding…you will.
In fact, you might wan to bring a U-Haul to take everything home.
The summer fair will also host the Sheryl Crow Repurposed Quilt For Charity Project. A long-time shopper at City Farmhouse, the Grammy-winning artist will once again contribute to the vintage market after successfully bringing in $20,000 for a non-profit organization close to her heart at the 2015 holiday pop-up, by selling a range of goods from her personal collection.
For the June show, Crow is donating three of her own antique cutter quilts to be repurposed into individual pieces of art by a selection of creatives who applied for the challenge and were chosen by Kim Leggett based on previous works and artistic ability. Robelyn Dorman of Waco, Texas, Darrell Ezekiel of Birmingham, Ala. and Laura Locke of Covington, TN will transform the quilts into a collection of bags, a piece of wall art and an upholstered antique settee, respectively. Each piece will be auctioned off at the pop-up fair to benefit Syrian refugees. You’ve got to come and see what they create.
City Farmhouse Pop-up draws shoppers from as far away as Australia, but the Leggett’s make sure that everyone has a great experience with the wonderful community vibe. Live music and local food trucks are on hand to make your shopping experience complete.
You won’t just find old stuff. The vendor’s booths are filled with handpicked selections and feature a variety of eras and styles – of course, farmhouse, French, artisan made, Americana, plus items for your garden including lighting and architectural. You’ll find clothing and linen and so much more. The vendors shop all year to be make their way to Franklin and participate in this twice a year Pop-up Fair.
