I just got back from spending the most wonderful day at the Parade of Homes Preview at Kings’ Chapel in Arrington, and I’m so excited to share this with you. Not only are these homes magnificent (like in I want to move), but they are also decked out to the nines and are simply a glorious feast for your eyes !
Four beautifully crafted homes are featured on the tour and each one hails a different floor plan, design and decor. From French Country to English Country…each features unique designs, interior decor and flawless appointments.
This is the 2nd Parade of Homes tour and this year it supports a cause that’s very dear to my heart…Make-A-Wish Foundation in Middle Tennessee.
I’m so honored to have been invited to preview this event especially since some of my new blogger friends extraordinaire participated in the Christmas Tree Challenge. What these women create every day is remarkable and I’m constantly inspired by them.
In keeping with keeping a child’s wish alive, the featured bloggers were given a theme based on the actual wishes of Make-A-Wish children and feature the Circus, Greece, the Grammy’s and Super Model.
Each one has a unique take on Christmas. So meet Kristie – The Decorologist…
KariAnne – Thistlewood Farms…
Jenna – Rain on a Tin Roof…
and Lesley from Chaotically Creative.
With a budget of $5o0 and trees donated to the event by Balsam Hill, the bloggers worked their magic.
The trees are part of a silent auction to benefit Make-A-Wish Middle Tennessee.
This is really a MUST- DO Holiday event because here’s what will happen. You’ll tour the 4 homes – you’ll want to move ,but if you can’t right now, you’ll walk away inspired to do just ONE new thing in your own home.
I wonder if everyone loves seeing homes as much as I do?
I also love to be inspired by someone else’s ingenuity and creativity and today…well…I feel sorry for my husband because he’s going to get an earful!
Here…have a peek for yourself.
The First on the Tour – a beautiful French Country home built by Drees Premier Homes with decor by Design Environments. I have NEVER seen such amazing storage or organizational amenities. This house is just wonderful!
The holiday decor in this home only was done by Mary Clingan Designs…and it’s absolutely lovely….not to mention the smell of cedar and eucalyptus wafts through the house.
The Second on the Tour…Okay…I admit it…I have a passion for the whole French Country look and feel and when you add re-purposed wood to the mix…well…I’m kind of over the moon. This home was built by Gregg & Rains with interior design by Lauren & Kara Blalock of ReFresh. It’s a true French Country showplace.
The distressed walls are truly a masterpiece and were done by Bella Tucker here in Franklin. If you need to freshen up a room…pick up the phone and call them…you won’t believe the transformation!
The Third on the Tour…a French Country showplace built by Tennessee Valley Homes with interior design by McClain Franks. This is a fantastic home for entertaining with some truly unique features…like a place for the resident pup tucked away just off the living room. The sun room, on the second floor, is the perfect place to daydream away an afternoon.
And the Final Home on the Tour is French Provincial in style but filled with the modern appointments and is built by Arnold Homes with interior design by Julie McCoy Interiors. There is a spectacular fireplace seating area off the house that for me felt like a perfect respite.
My friends…this was practically a perfect day…seeing new friends…meeting new people…taking in the beauty of Kings Chapel and gathering inspiration for my own home – because we aren’t moving!
I really think you’d love this event and I want to encourage you to go. It begins Saturday, December 6 through Sunday, December 21. But wait…there’s more…12 Days of Christmas events are happening each day. There’s something for everyone…you’ve just got to go!
