Well this is a short week isn’t it? I don’t know how I feel about 4-day work weeks. I love that the weekend comes faster, but I feel like a crazy woman trying to get everything crammed into 4 days. Maybe sometimes I just need to slow down. After all, it is summer!
And speaking of summer…I want to hear from you. What are your favorite things to do in the summer? Do you leave Franklin to escape the heat and humidity? If so, where do you go?
Do you take family road trips? I love a good road trip. My last road trip took me very far away from home.
Do you head to the beach? And if you do…I really want to know where you go, because this is the year my hubby and I are headed to the Gulf, but I can’t figure out where to go. We don’t have young children so quieter would be nice. Please tell me where to go so I can stop stressing and start making plans. We’re thinking we’ll wait until school is back in session.
So remember I mentioned Coffee and Conversation with Cindy? We’ll call this the Triple C Meet-up. Your response was great and so I’m going to do it.
The first meet-up will be on Saturday, June 11 at 9:30am – 10:30am and we’re going to meet at The Coffee House at Second and Bridge in Downtown Franklin. It’s one of my favorite places and I’m going to see if we can get a room to make this easy. They’re very accommodating and only ask that you purchase something to eat or drink. I mean it is Coffee and Conversation and they have the most delicious crepes.
If you’re new to Franklin or if you’re a long-time resident, I think it’s always fun to meet new people. You never know who God will place in front of you. This is a casual gathering. Please come and dress comfortably. I don’t know how many will show up, but I’ll be there on June 11 at 9:30am. I hope you’ll join me.
If you’d like to leave a comment below if you’re coming that would be helpful, but I’ll still be there.
And on a totally different subject, but it does have to do with summer, I found the coolest new site on Instagram. (I find everything these days on Instagram.) It’s The Flying Ham and they rent brand new Shasta Airflyte trailers that are made to look exactly like the original 1996 campers only they’re totally glamped out! This is definitely on my bucket list. Story coming soon, y’all.
Enjoy the lazy days of summer. I’m going to take my own advice and slow down and eat an ice cream cone.
