Il Mulino had been on my radar for several months. I was familiar with the New York restaurant, so when I read that Nashville now had this treasure, I couldn’t wait to go. It took awhile, but we finally went in July with some dear friends. We were elated with our dining experience and I knew I had to return to share the good news with you.
Last Friday I returned only to be treated like royalty! Y’all know I love to cook so anytime I have an opportunity to sit down with an Executive Chef…I’m over the moon. Chef Thomas Cook is not only charming…he’s an outstanding chef and Nashville is lucky to have him, since he’s shared his talents from Florida to Los Angeles – think Campanile, Valentino’s and Patina!
Trattoria Il Mulino is chic casual (I always like to know how to dress) and they serve authentic Northern Italian cuisine sourcing the freshest local ingredients. For the harder to find items – they’re flown in from Italy and Greece and Hawaii. Chef Thomas believes in “fresh, not overdone” food and this is exactly what you’ll get when you go.
