Can someone please tell me where the time is going and how on Earth it can be the weekend already? Sometimes I wish I had an extra day in the week. How about you?
It’s been a full week and spring is clearly making it’s way to Franklin. I now wake up to the sounds of birds singing…one of my favorite things EVER! The red buds are covered with tiny blooms and waiting to make their brilliant debut, and remember last week when I told you I was going to germinate seeds for my garden?
Well…look what’s happened in just 4 days! Not only do I find this whole growing of things miraculous, but the very fact that I am doing it is really amazing. Look at these little baby plants!
Enough about me…there’s a whole lot of things happening this weekend.
Tonight is the Art Crawl in Downtown Franklin. This is always a fun evening. I remember it was the very first event we went to just after we arrived here. We knew nothing. We knew no one, but we went and loved it.
If you want a lot of garden inspiration, head to the Nashville Lawn & Garden Show at the Fairgrounds. You’ll find plenty of vendors and learn the ins and outs of caring for your garden. It runs through Sunday. For more information, go here.
You can still get tickets for Beer, Bacon & Bourbon happening Saturday, March 6 at The Factory. Now tell me, what could be better than this combination? Locally crafted beers, an abundance of bacon-inspired appetizers, and the finest Southern bourbon plus food provided by Cool Cafe Franklin. Yummm!
Taste of Williamson is this Sunday, March 6 at the Cool Springs Galleria. Tickets are $35 and well worth it. Great food, no chance of being rained out and a chance to taste the best of Williamson. Info here.
If for some reason you can’t make Beer, Bacon & Bourbon, don’t despair because on Saturday, March 12 you can attend Whisky Warmer in Westhaven. This sounds like so much fun. Say goodbye to winter and welcome spring. You’ll learn about 60 types of whiskey with tastings from some of the best in country. Of course there will be food and live music. It’s an outdoors event, so be sure to bundle up. Spring doesn’t arrive until March 21 but we get excited here when winter is on the the way out. Tickets and more information is available here.
I know this concert is a month away, but guess who’s coming to The Franklin Theatre on April 2? Roger McGuinn, that’s who…only one the Founder of The Byrds. I absolutely cannot wait for this concert. Hurry tickets are almost gone.
Will you help me out? I want to know your favorite places to go for brunch. It can be in Franklin or Nashville, but I want to know. Tell me in the comment section below. For me, spring is Brunch season and I want to hear from you. Many thanks in advance.
