We’re experiencing glorious fall-like weather here in Franklin and this is the perfect weekend to get out and enjoy it! Seriously, it doesn’t get any better than this. So here’s what’s happening in Franklin this weekend!
Feel like venturing into Nashville (just about 18 minutes up I-65)? Americana Fest is happening on Saturday, September 19 at Ascend Theatre and you’ll be dazzled with some awesome musicians. Today is the last day, but you can get information here.
Have you been to Arrington Vineyards and enjoyed some Music in the Vines? It’s a perfect way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Pack a picnic – grab a bottle of your favorite Arrington wine and sit back and enjoy the music and the beautiful surroundings. Saturday from 5-9pm and Sunday from 2-6pm. Did I mention that the only cost is the wine?
Are you wanting to prepare your garden for fall but aren’t sure where to begin? Cheekwood Harvest begins Saturday, September 19 and runs through November 1. There’s music, art activities, trains, pumpkins galore, scarecrows and more than 5,000 chrysanthemums on display. It’s a beautiful time to visit Cheekwood. Take the family and spend the day!
It’s a beautiful time at Radnor Lake (just outside of Franklin) and perfect for a weekend walk or hike. Both are available. Plan to go early or later in the day to avoid crowds.
Our beloved Studio Tenn is kicking off fall with a masterful production of Gypsy. Tickets are available and the show runs through October 4. I am always bowled over by the amazing acting and musical talent that Studio Tenn brings together. Discovering Studio Tenn at The Factory has been a highlight for me. I promise you’ll be blown away with delight!
There’s live music galore in Historic Downtown Franklin. Why not treat yourself to a craft cocktail at Grays on Main while enjoying the sweet sounds of Juliana Cole. I highly recommend you try the Fried Pimento Cheese appetizer. Its’ heaven on a plate. The music and the bar are upstairs. If you’re planning on dinner, be sure to make a reservation.
So this Sweet Friends are some of my top picks for the weekend of September 19 – 20. Monday I’m welcoming fall and sharing some thoughts on How to Cozy Up Your Home for Fall!
I love connecting with you. I hang out here too!
