I’ve lived in Franklin now for 19 months and I’m finding that there are delightful things in the most ordinary places. Delight has taken on a whole new meaning for me, so I thought I’d share some of my favorite springtime delights.
My garden and its lush shades of green after a winter of ice. Everything is coming back and I’m still amazed this actually happens.
Hot air balloons flying over our house!
Peonies getting ready to put on a show…
The flower guy at the Franklin Farmer’s Market…
Reading my brand new Seed Catalogue…I know, kind of dorky…but really a new experience for me and you just have to know that this catalog is awesome! I never knew there were so many vegetables in the world! You can order yours here.
Oak leaf hydrangeas popping out overnight!
My husband coming inside the house with a firefly in his hand…seems a little early, but it was there.
Warm spring nights in Leiper’s Fork…
Walking down Main Street in Franklin and seeing someone you know! That, my friends, is something that really delights me, because it wasn’t too long ago that I didn’t know a soul and at times it felt very lonely, but somehow, some way…when we take our time and trust that it’s going to be okay…delightful things just happen.
What things are delighting you these days?
