I hope you made it to the City Farmhouse Pop-up Show because it was something to behold…in an absolutely, perfectly, delightful way! It was joyful…it was a party for your eyes and ears…and it created lasting memories for anyone who was there. People came from all over America (California, New York, Texas…seriously…all over America!) to shop and participate in the experience that is City Farmhouse Pop-up Show! We all owe Kim and David Leggett a huge THANK YOU for this wonderful gift. Can you tell that I loved it? I went to the first pop-up show last year, but since I had only been in Franklin for less than 6 weeks…I don’t think I really GOT it…if you know what I mean. But this year…I showed up with every bit of excitement I had inside of me…and it exceeded all my expectations! Each and every vendor, who also came from all over America…created magical, individuals tents decorated and decked out to the nines! The creativity genius of each vendor was remarkable. And even though they make it look like it just happens…this is NOT easy work. They drive through the night pulling trailers filled with their valuable antiques and displays…they set up in pouring down Tennessee rain…they slosh in mud…and I’m pretty sure it takes a very special person to pull this off. But what is so clear is that THIS is their LOVE and their passion! And…then the big day happens and thank you God…the sun shone brightly for the entire weekend! And it was pretty near perfect! So here’s what I’m going to do…I have over 300 photos and I thought maybe you’d like to pour yourself a cup of coffee and sit back…take it all in and then plan to come next year! And…I’m going to share this with you over the next two days because I have too much for one day and truthfully…I’m still so happy that I have the blessing of living right here in Franklin where this wonderful event happens each year that I want to extend it as long as I can! Ready? Here we go….
That’s a teeny tiny sampling of the show…tomorrow I’m sharing the Folk & Folly exhibit in the Buddy Killen Mansion. It is so amazing that it requires a day all to itself. Were you at the City Farmhouse Pop-up Show this year? If so…would you share your thoughts below. This is how you can let Kim Leggett know just how special her work is.
