Imagine Andrea Bocelli playing in the background…sun streaming through a billowy clouded sky…rocking chairs on the porch…secret gardens…birds chirping and butterflies everywhere!
I’m not talking about a few butterflies – I’m talking thousands of them and about two dozen different species.
This is Butterfly Meadows Inn and it’s a little touch of Heaven 15 minutes from my home in Franklin, TN.
Relax…Breathe…Create – three words that truly resonate for me and the whole idea around the Inn.
Life is simple here…and if you crave peacefulness… and breathtaking views…
and woods and meadows…and beautifully appointed rooms…and if you want to slow down…
And you like butterflies…then this is your place. It has your name written all over it…
Well, actually, it has my name written all over it, but maybe, yours, too.
Butterfly Meadows Inn is seated at the top of the hill and surrounded by 40 acres of woods,
You have no choice but to slow down and savor the abundant beauty of nature.
Darlene and Norman Bobo are your hosts and when they purchased this parcel of land, they felt so at peace here that they decided the real blessing would be to share it with others. They wanted a place where folks could come and feel at home and where God’s majesty would shine.
It shines in a big way.
They knew it had to be historical in design. They knew what they wanted. And they interviewed many architects until one of them finally “got it.” Darlene told me that “with the exception of a few changes, what stands today was in the first plan.” The Inn replicates a 100 year old farm house, but because it’s designed to be a Bed & Breakfast, the guest experiences all the comforts of home.
And what stands today is simply loveliness in the truest sense of the word.
This is a place where you leave the outside world behind. After all, it will be there when you return, but you might think about things differently.
This is the place where in the pitch black of night you watch fireflies come to life on the lawn.
This is the place where you curl up and read a good book.
This is the place where you meet travelers from as far away as England and yet…you somehow feel like you’ve known each other forever.
This is the place where you celebrate nature in all her glory and this is the place…
Where serenity lives and it nurtures your soul.
Thank you Darlene and Norman for sharing your dream with the rest of us! To visit Butterfly Meadows Inn…go here.
